"What have we stumbled upon?" Bergress had drawn his gun and now carried it by his side, finger ready to pull the trigger if need be.
"I don't know." Kaien replied. The whole place was something out of a movie, some twisted storybook. A place where he could only hear tales about. His heart pounded in his chest as he took in the energy; something twisting, twisting, as formless and thin as the smoke that wreathed itself around his body. This wasn't good. This place wasn't safe. At all.
"Bergress." He motioned the pirate over, which had been picking through the remains of what appeared to be a sunken house.
"Yea?"
"Come here. Gather all the other pirates."
"Are we leaving?"
Kaien nodded. "Yea. I don't trust this place."
"Awright." Bergress raised his gun. A shot, deafening in the eerie silence, rang through the air. "Come on!" He motioned to the two other pirates, who walked over.
"Wait." Kaien did a head count once, then again. "We're missing a pirate."
"Where's Deregresh?"
